Courtyard Barn, Northamptonshire

 

The former barn was extended with a new wing and now embraces its own  new walled garden, which opens out towards the sun and blends the house with the countryside.

 

The addition accommodates the kitchen with an open plan dining and living area under a vaulted roof and turned the former barn into a contemporary rural dwelling around the walled garden and courtyard.
