Knighton House, Leicester
The Victorian villa had been significantly altered and subdivided, so the key ambition was to retain its character and to convert it back into a family home. The original staircase was re-instated, features carefully restored and the floor layout thoutghtfully amended.

Knighton House won two awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects with the project, for the careful refurbishment and thoughtful extension of the house.
It also featured on Channel 4’s Grand Designs: House of the Year as a contemporary example of extending a period property.
